DAY 9: Wreck It

WRECK IT! THAT’S TODAY’S SONG AND I HAVE ONE QUESTION…PS: I took off the comment box 'cause it was broken. So just email me and tell me what you think of my question - which is "are there too few lyrics in this song???"

Update: I released the song (as you can see) but I still want your opinion - is this not enough lyrics??

"I'mma make a fuckin hole in this..."

Listen to "Wreck It"

i know you put that shit there

get it outta my way

i know you put that shit there

get it outta my way

get it outta my way

i been waitin all my life for this

gimmee something I can lose and miss

i’mon make a fuckin hole in this

gotta break it down

break it down

kick it til it falls

wreck it

i see you standin there

breathin in my free air

i wish you’d hear my prayer

unblock my heaven stair

i know you put that shit there

get it outta my way

get it outta my way

i know you put that shit there

get it outta my way

get it outta my way

i been waitin all my life for this

gimmee something I can lose and miss

i’mon make a fuckin hole in this

gotta break it down

break it down

kick it til it falls

i been waitin all my life for this

gimmee something I can lose and miss

i’mon make a fuckin hole in this

gotta break it down

break it down

break it down

break it break it break it break it

i been waitin all my life for this

gimmee something I can lose and miss

i’mon make a fuckin hole in this

gotta break it down

break it down

kick it til it falls

Backstory

Wreck It is a song I wrote trying to respond to a particular “brief”. A brief is simply a call put out by a licensing company or agent, or music supervisor, or A&R company, that says “so and so needs this kind of song”. Then they describe the song they need and most of the time, provide a few examples that are in the ballpark that they want. So I wrote wreck it for a brief which called for I forget what – something crazy with minimal lyrics, or something. Hence, I did wreck it without much lyrical content – in fact I think what I did do was too much. I ended up liking what I did with the chorus – and obviously I was off the mark – I have real trouble copying other artists – but I liked Wreck It. I thought, hey, I like this, let’s use it! But, like I said above, I keep wondering if it needs more lyrics…so that’s why I put the survey in this page…thanks again!
